We are in the midst of the season of Advent, the season of waiting and expectation for the coming Savior, for the chosen one of God. Americans do not wait well at all. We want what we want when we want it. We don't stop for stop signs, not completely anyway, we rush red lights, and we just want to get ahead of everyone else. This is the time to slow down. To put yourself on "pause" and to take stock of your life. It is time for you to get in touch with the Savior and you cannot do it in a rush. Jesus is coming when he comes, in God's time not in ours. Time to prepare his way. Get to it!
