What does light mean to you? Do you appreciate the light or take it for granted? It is at this time of the year that many people suffer from the winter "blues" due to the lack of sunshine. The lack of sunshine can make us all a bit depressed. Natural light is the best. Daylight is lovely and warm, but there is also the light of night, the mooon and the stars. These lights are important for our well being, but only the true Light, Jesus Christ can really dispel the darkness. He is the one who gives us not only light, but hope and love and peace thorugh the salvation he has won for us all on the cross. We are in the season of Epiphany, the season where Jesus is made known. One of symbols for Epiphany is the star. It is the time that the wisemen followed the star of Bethlehem to the manger to find the infant Christ. The star brings light to the dark sky and Christ brings light to all the dark places of our lives. Live in His Light!
We believe in the grace of God in Christ Jesus who died for our sins on the cross, rose again that we might have eternal life and that Christ will come again.
