An Attitude of Blessing and Hope
What is your overall attitude about your life, your family, your God, your church? We encounter people everyday whose demeanor is one of anger, one of negativity. It is easy when you hear the negative day after today to automatically begin to spout the same negativity. It begins to come so easily to us that we do not notice when we do it. Where does this negativity come from? What is making you so unhappy and why are you so unhappy? Sometimes we like to blame our unhappiness and negativity on others. "I don't like the way we do things here, therefore I am unhappy," "I am not being catered too therefore I am unhappy." If you are that unhappy, then maybe it is not everyone elses fault maybe it is your own. Maybe YOU need an attitude adjustment. Why are you so unhappy? Do you not know, do you not realize that Christ died for YOU? Do you not know that God loves you so much that he would sacrifice his child for you? Maybe if you started to think positively about Christ and about your life you would be happier. Maybe if you had hope in Christ and began to know in your hearts that the promises of God are true, maybe you would have a better and a less bitter outlook on life. We worship God, not you.
These things may help you along the way:
1. Want to know God? Then pick up his book, the Bible and begin to read it.
2. Want God in your life? Then humble yourself before him and learn to pray not for what you want solely, but for others and their needs. Put the needs of others first and yourself last.
3. Come and worship. You get out of it what you put into it. If you put nothing into it you get nothing out of it. It is not meant to entertain you, but to praise HIM for the gift he has given us in Jesus Christ. We worship him not ourselves. Without Him we are nothing.
Most of all ASK Him to change your heart. With a changed heart your attitude will change. Changed people change churches.
Never give up hope. Always Hope in the Lord.
