The Bible Study introducing the Gospel of Mark continues on Tuesday, May 1st at 7:00 PM. Mark is the primary gospel for our current liturgical year, and it will make up most of our gospel readings this summer and fall.
Thank you to everyone who helped at the french fry booth at the Spring Fling Antique Engine and Machinery Show at Twin Bridges. Your help and fellowship is greatly appreciated.
Our organ pedal board has been repaired. The estimate is $2.800, and we have received almost $1,700 to cover the cost. You may contribute and mark “organ fund” on the memo line of your check or mark your envelope “other” and write “organ fund”. Your donations are greatly appreciated.
We are collecting items for the “Power Pack†program at Marion Elementary School. The program provides meals for children at risk for hunger so they have a little to eat on the weekends. A list of needed items is at the back of the sanctuary. There are 29 at-risk children this year.
We are collecting items for the Central PA Food Bank for this year’s Synod Assembly work project. They are looking for donations of canned fruits and vegetables. A box is available at the back of the sanctuary for donated items.
The annual SpiriTrust Chambersburg Auxiliary membership drive will take place during the month of May. Anyone can join with a minimum contribution of $1, and because of the generous support in 2017, the Auxiliary was able to make donations to SpiriTrust Lutheran Home Care & Hospice, SpiriTrust Lutheran LIFE, SpiriTrust Lutheran Counseling Services, as well as The Inn Endowment Fund at the Ridge and many other important programs and services. If you would like to join, please see Mary Jane or contact the church office for more information.
