The Bible Study introducing the Gospel of Mark concludes on Tuesday, May 29th at 7:00 PM. Mark is the primary gospel for our current liturgical year, and it will make up most of our gospel readings this summer and fall.
Our annual Church Picnic is scheduled for Wednesday, June 27th, at 6:00 PM at the park. The menu is fried chicken, baked beans, macaroni salad, fruit, and dinner rolls. For dessert, bring your favorite to share!
Salem is invited to Evangelical Lutheran Church’s Outdoor Service & Picnic on Sunday, June 17th at 10:45 AM at Tayamentasachta (the Greencastle-Antrim School District’s environmental center). Bring your lawn chairs for worship in the walnut grove followed by a fried chicken lunch. The cost is $7.00 per person (children 12 and under are free). Join us for “Church Clean-up Day†on June 23rd. Anyone willing to help should sign-up because we have fun and good fellowship and give the church it’s yearly cleaning.
We are collecting items for the Central PA Food Bank for this year’s Synod Assembly work project. They are looking for donations of canned fruits and vegetables. A box is available at the back of the sanctuary for donated items.
The annual SpiriTrust Chambersburg Auxiliary membership drive will take place during the month of May. Anyone can join with a minimum contribution of $1, and because of the generous support in 2017, the Auxiliary was able to make donations to SpiriTrust Lutheran Home Care & Hospice, SpiriTrust Lutheran LIFE, SpiriTrust Lutheran Counseling Services, as well as The Inn Endowment Fund at the Ridge and many other important programs and services.
